At their Karamu street yards to day Messrs Williams and Kettle put up to public auction a line of purebred Shorthorn cattle, tha property of Messrs Rathbone Bros, of Waipawa The highest priced animal was Lord Kitchener 11, who gained champion honours at the recent show, beating four imported bulls Mr G P Donnel y was declared the purchaser when the sum reach £175 This eentleman also purchased Lady Winsom 4th for 79 guineas, Daisy Bell for 49 guineas, and Buttercup for 16 guineas Mr Murphy bought Abbot3ford 14th for 81 guineas,, and Lady Verdon 3rd for 32 guineas respectively Mr Dalziell bough Connaught 19th for 75 guineas Oxford 2nd fell to the bid of Mr H M Campbell for 46 guineas Mr E D Collison bought Baroness Abbotsford 12th and 2nd for 35 and 15 guineas respectively Most of the others were sold at satisfactory figures.
