Mr Coleman Phillips, one of the can didates for the Wairarapa seat, addressed a meeting last night. A vote of thanks was carried. An incident in the proceedings was a disturbance caused by Adam Armstrong, Returning Officer at the last election, denouncing a statement made by the candidate as a " deliberate lie." Eventually the police asked Armstrong to leave, the hall.
