Congregational Meeting.

HASTINGS PHESBYTERIAN CHURCH. The annual congregational meeting was held in the church last night. As the charge is now vacant, the Rev C. Connor, Sear., Moderator, occupied the chair. The various reports were read and approved of by the meeting. These showed the state of the congregation to be satisfactory, and all branches of the works progressing. The prizes won by the Sunday School scholars at the recent examination were presented. These consisted of valuable books and framed certificates, and were won by the following girls :—Misses M. Boyle, B. Joil, M. Stables, W. Joll, L. Harper, E. Power, C. Home, L. Boyle, L, Power and M. M'Coubrie. Steps were also decided upon towarda extending a call to a minister to fill the vacancy caused by Mr Morrison's departure.
