A Disappointed Girl.

(Pit P/ys.; Association)

Di.sedix, This day.

Jessie Catnmac, aged 16, attempted suicide by drinking match heads dissolved in water. She was to have been married on Wednesday, but the father, who lives at Cromwell, failed to send his consent in time for the ceremony, which was put off in consequence. This probably led to the act. The girl, who is in the hospital, is now out of danger.
