Manawatu Railway.
NEW LIGHTING PLANT. [By Telegraph] (Per Press Association.) Wellington, This day. The Manawatu Railway Company has installed a 10,000 horse-power dynamo to light its station and charge the accumulators for lighting the carriages. The plant will light three trains, giving 27 sixteen, or 36 twelve-candle-power lamps, for nine hours' lighting. This will be a great improvement, and will enable passengers to read comfortably.
