December 27th and 28th : Lower Valley J.C. meeting. December 27th and 28th : Manawatu B.C. Meeting. December 27, January Ist and 3rd: Auckland meeting. January Ist and 3rd: Wairarapa race meeting. January 12th : Pahiatua race meeting. January 21st: Danevirke hack meeting.
The Hastings course presents an animated appearance every morning. Over forty horses are in training on the plough. The grass on the Hastings course is being mown and the track being prepared for the coming meeting. The Hawke's Bay summer meeting will probably be the most successful ever held here. Visitors are expected from all parts of the colony. Several Hastings horses have entered for the Plumpton Park pony trotting, and are now in active training.
CANTERBUBY TROTTING. (By Telegbafh.) 'Per Press Association.J Christchurch, This day. At a meeting of Stewards of the Canterbury Trotting Club it was resolved that the instructions of the Colonial Secretary as to the ruling of the Association in regard to the Bedstone case be accepted. A letter was received from the owner of Linda, stating that he would appeal to the Association if the Club paid out on Bedstone without first considering his protest against the latter.
