A ballot has been taken amongst the cotton spinning operatives upon the question of the proposed reduction in wages. The result was in favor of accepting the reduction. John Burns advises that failing to secure a guaranteed trade union fund of £15,000 weekly, the engineering strike should be declared at an end.
