London, Oct. 11. At to-day's wool sales competition was less keen and prices had a downward tendency. The Lund line steamer Woolloomoolloo, from Sydney to London, via the Cape, has arrived at Durban. She met with terrible weather, and the decks were continually swept by heavy seas. A steward named C. W. Clarke and three of the crew were washed overboard and drowned. Zanzibar, Oct. I'2. It is reported that King Ngwanga, who recently organised a rebellion amongst the natives in the Budda district, a protectorate of Uganda, has again been defeated. Uganda is now in a tranquil condition: Berlin, Oct. 12. The editor of the Hamburger Echo, who was accused of majt-stie, in charging the King of the Belgians with keeping gambling tables, was found guilty and sentenced to eight months* imprisonment.
