The office of the Building Society was broken into last night and bills valued at £IOO and other papers belonging to -J. B. Keith, the manager, were stolen. Two cash boxes were taken out of the safe but they only contained 10s cash and stamps. The burglary is evidently the work of an amateur. Wellington, This day. Twenty three cases are set down for the Court of Appeal on Monday and several others will probably be added to the list. The Brunner disaster cases will be adjourned till the Appeal Court is over. Tjjiaru, This day. Miss Lissaman, a middle-aged lady, was run down by a cyclist in the suburbs on Thursday evening and was rather badly hurt about the face and rendered unconscious, Subsequent symptoms indicated internal injuries. The rider stopped to assist her but refused to give his name, which, however, has been ascertained.
