Interprovincial Football.
[BY TtLEGKAPII.] (Per Press Association.) Donedin, Sept. 11. Wellington beat Otago to-day by 10 points to 6. The game was decidedly rough. "Wellington, Sept. 11. Three football matches were played at the Athletic Park this afternoon, the clay being fine, but the ground heavy after the rain. Under Rugby rules the Wellington Juniors defeated the Wairarapa .Juniors by 26 to 8, and the Seniors defeated Marlborough by 17 to 15. The game was very closely contested, and the visitors had rather the best of it till the last quarter of an hour. Under Association rules Ruahine defeated Wellington by two goals to nil. About 7GO people people were present. This day. The Association football match on Saturday was the final round for the New Zealand Shield. The Ruahine team was principally composed of masters and boys of the Wanganui College, and the shield becomes the property of the school for a year. THE lIAWKE'S BAY REPS. The following will represent Hawke's Bay against Wellington ; —Full back, Caulton ; three-quarters, Troon, Bear, and Williams; half, J. O'Connell; five-eighths, W. O'Connell ; wings, Simmonds and D. O'Connell ; forwards, Speedy, Johnstone, Cieordine, F. Caldwell, Hobson, Merritt, and Ilayes. Emergencies : back, Lynskie ; forwards, Cheer, Speight, • Tankard and Thompson.
