THE FEDERAL CONVENTION.
( l\ r Press Association.—L'ojii/rit/iit.) Sydney, This day. The Federal Convention has decided that affairs dealing with the constitution of the two Houses and the financial question of deadlocks be considered in committee. The Convention resumed the discussion 011 the constitution of the Senate. Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, and West Australia decided that the method of electing senators should be left to the local Parliaments to determine. The Bill provides that the senators should be elected by the people of the State as one electorate.
