STRIKES AT HOME
{Per Press Association. —' London, Sept. 9. The London United Workers Society is urging the engineers to abandon their demands for eight hours as a day's labor. Many other branches of labor are striking for eight hours concession. The Trades Union Congress sitting at Birmingham has passed a resolution denouncing the conspiracy of the acts as unjust ,to the workers and in support of the miners' demands for eight hours a day.
