—* THE EMPLOYERS IMPORTING FOREIGN LABOR. A LEEDS FIRM PROPOSES TO SHIFT TO GERMANY. (Per Frets Association.—Copi/rif/ht.) London, Sept. 1. Considerable excitement exists amongst the loc-ked-out engineers at Leeds in consequence of a large firm arranging for the importation of foreign labor. The firm has already engaged German fitters. Oi:e of the leading engineering firms of Leeds proposes to erect works in Germany and avail itself of the cheap labor obtainable in that country.
