A SAVAGE HUSBAND. A SURVEYOR SAVAGELY STABBED. THE WIFE SERIOUSLY WOUNDED. (Per"fink* Assoriation. —' t.) Adelaide, This day. A sensational tragedy has occurred in the city. Mrs Nixon, wife of a carpenter, was visiting the office of Mr H. M. Addison, a well-known surveyor and chairman of the State Bank, when Nixon rushed in exclaiming that he intended to settle a quarrel of eight years' standing. He stabbed Addison in the temple severely, and cut hiiu about the hands and head. In the struggle Nixon threatened his wife, and stabbed her three times in the back. The woman is in a serious condition, and her dying depositions have been taken. Nixon had been absent from the country, but returned a few days ago.
