An Important Judgment.

BEARING ON NATIVE LANDS. [By Telegraph.] (Per Press Association,) Wellington, This day. The Appeal Court gave judgment in the case, e:e parte, Rausfield in re Manawatu-Kukutanaki A.B. No. 1. The Court allowed the appeal from the decision of the Chief Judge of the Validation Court and held that the Validation Court has power to validate the conveyance by a Native of land held by him under his Crown grant containing a restriction on alienation whether known to the parties or not, provided the transaction is fair and honest and well understood by the parties.
