News from Noumea states that members of the venture known as the United Brotherhood who arrived in the American brig Percy Edward, have disbanded and the vessel is to be sold. Half the numbers have obtained work, and the remainder have been allotted land for the purpose of coffee planting. A tragedy occurred in the penitentiary. A convict accused another convict of stealing a plug of tobacco and thev fought with knives, both being killed.
