No reply having been received from the employers the members of the furniture trade have decided to invoke the aid of the Conciliation Board in settling the dispute. The delegates from the Trades Council assured the men that the Council would do its best to help them, and would stand or fall by them. It is stated that one firm has dismissed its men and replaced them with non-unionists. Another employer's hands have returned to work as non-unionists. A third employer is willing to allow the men to resume work as non-union ists.
