THE GOLD ROBBERY.
ACTION AGAINST THE P. AND O. COMPANY. (Per Press Association.—Copyrii/ht.) London, July 7. The Queensland National Bank is suing the P. and 0. Company to recover £SOOO for the loss sustained by the robbery of a box of sovereigns from the steamer Oceania while loading at Sydney in January last. Mr Justice Mitchell, who is hearing the case, on a preliminary issue ruled that an ordinary warranty included an obligation that the bullion room of a vessel should be capable of resisting thieves.
