Captain Edwin wired this afternoon : Wind between north and west and south-west at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth, and between north-east and north and west elsewhere ; barometer very little different northwards of Napier and New Plymouth ; fall at all other places; strong northerly winds are probable at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth ; frost northward from Napier and Raglan to Thames and Manakau and cold weather in the north.
