COLONIAL PREMIERS AT HOME

All the unattached colonial troops were present at a dinner given by the Lord Mayor of London, at which there was a brilliant gathering present including the colonial Premiers. The Right Hon. G. H. Reid took occasion to thank Mr Chaml erlain for his groat kindness. He said all the Premiers had been made to feel thoroughly at home. He hoped when the next conference met Australia would be federated into one representative federation which would strengthen the ties of the Empire. Lord Salisbury said the Jubilee was an epoch making event, paving the utility of the Empire. It would have a great influence on history and sink deep into the hearts of critics abroad. It would also bring with it new responsibilities and duties which the Empi ;,n should remember. The colonial Premiers 011 Wednesday will visit Windsor Castle and lunch with the Queen, the occasion being their swearing in as Privy Councillors.
