A RUSSIAN WARSHIP STRIKES AX UNMARKED ROCK. THE CREW SAVED. St. Petersburg, June 2G. The Russian ironclad Gangout, a vessel of 6827 ton?, with a complement of s!*o men, foundered through striking a submerged rock in the Baltic Sea. All the crew were saved. June 27. Later reports show that the gunboat struck an unmarked reef off the island of Rondo • and .smashed a great hole in her bottom. She rapidly filled and sank in fifteen fathoms of water. The crew escaped in boats.
