ANNEXATION OF HAWAII.

A Reuter's cable from Washington states that the Hon. John Sherman, Secretary of State, and the Hawaiian delegatesj h&ve signed a treaty for the annexation of Hawaii by America. Japan protests against the annexation as a breach of the treaty between Japan and Hawaii. Washington, June 17. Major McKinley's message to Congress says that the annexation treaty entered into with Hawaii continues the existing relations, but makes closer bonds between the people closely related by blood ties. The President asserts that the American Government will not allow any country to interfere between America and Hawaii. In political circles in Washington it is expected that the Senate will pass the treaty. Tokio, June 17. Marquis Ito, formerly Premier of Japan, is of opinion that, the new American - Hawaiian treaty will certainly not create any international difficulty.
