London, June 16. Speaking at Glasgow the Hon Mr Laurier, Premier of Canada, said the colonies had proved their free position and aspired to play a greater part than they had hitherto done. They desired to press onward until they fully shared in the United Empire and removed the disparity between the Imperial and Colonial subjects. At a meeting of the Colonial Institute the Hon Mr Grhmvade, a member of the Yictorian Legislative Council, said Yictoria was determined to clear off every penny of her obligation, lie believed the colony had seen the end of its trouble.
