[To The Editor.] Snt,—The proposal of " Fairy Light " for a public meeting to consider the celebrations in Hastings of the Record Reign is a good one, and I hope Mr Fitzßoy will at once lake up the question. The municipal buildings should certainly be illuminated for the occasion, and I feel certain that all the shopkeepers will do all they can to make a fitting display on Tuesday evening, 22nd inst, The cost will ba trifling, and it would be a disgrace to Hastings if no evening celebration was made.—l am, <&c., Loyalty.
