Athens, May 17. After delay, owing to heavy rains and bad roads, the main body of the Turks reached Domoku, and 80,000 Turks at noon made a simultaneous attack on the Greek right and left wings. The fighting quickly developed along the whole line, and a great battle is proceeding. The Turks are also attacking Almyro, upon which Colonel Smolenski with the left wing retired from Yelestino. The foreign Embassies declare that they cannot see Greece crushed, and have protested against the annexation of Thessally and the abolition of the capitulations proposed in connection with the Porte's conditions for an armistice. The insurgents at Crete have cut off the Herakleon water supply.
