[By Gifsy Grand.] Straybird has been scratched for the Settlers' Handicap. Sabratache has been shipped to Auckland from Sydney. Boreas has been purchased by a Wellington solicitor, and will be trained by Prosser, of Pariraa. AnstTalina won the Welter at Hawera yerterday, and Claymore the Final Steeplechase. Galtee Moor won the Two Thousand Guineas at Mewmarket on Wednesday. Mr Danvers' first batch of handicaps for the Park appears to-day. The adjustments differ very wide from Mr Henry's hadicaps for the late Waipukurau meeting, and either one or the other handicapper is a long way astray. In the Hack Race at Waipukurau Mr Henry placed Brennan nnrl Straybird on thesamemark —7st 111b. In that race Brennan did not start and Straybird ran somewhere about last. The two horses in question are in the Settlers* Handicap at the Park, and the difference of opinion between the two handicappers is 191bs. The difference between Popgun and Straybird at Waipukurau was 91b, now they are seperated by 21b.
