The Codlin Moth.
(By Telegraph.) Per iVc.s-.f Cubistchubch, March 17. This afternoon a conference was held between the Canterbury Fruitgrowers' Association and members of Parliament in reference to the codlin moth. The fruitgrowers suggested that power should be given to the authorities to destroy infested fruit wherever found, and that it should be made penal to sell it. A resolution was passed, " That the proposals made by the fruitgrowers for the prevention of the spread of the codlin moth should be embodied in an amendment to the Act to be brought before an adjourned meeting of the Canterbury members and others interested, with a \ipw of submitting the same to the Government Department."
