This A motion to remove from th«- file the petition agaiu-i the return of Mr ltachanan for the airaraj electorate came before the Chief Justice this morning. The grounds are that it was not lodged within the prescribed time, and security as set down in the Act was not given. Aft- r a brief arsunu nt on the point of calling the Returning Officer who had filed an affidavit that the 11th was the wrong date and should have been the 12th, it was agreed that further argument be adjourned until Saturday next, when Justice Connolly will be present.
