Opposition candidate af the late election, was presented with a purse of sovereign* as a mark ot appreciation of the manner in which he had fought the contest. Messrs Lt-tb bridge and McLeans M.H.R. were pivviu aiul spoke, also Mr McLean, President of thi_- National Association, Hawke's Ray. It is probably a branch of durational Association will be formed for this electorate.
