The Kereru Burning Case.
CHAPPLE COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. [By Telegraph.] (Per Press Association.) Wellington, This day. Chappie, the man accused of burning the woman Hay, has been committed for trial. The S.M. said it was a very strange case, but he did not feel justified in taking the onus of dismissing it, as the woman's story, since she recovered her memory, was consistent.
