The Late Fire in Hastings.

SUBSTANTIAL DONATIONS. The following correspondence has been received by Captain Brausch, of the Hastings Fire Brigade : Hastings, Jan. 19tb, 1897. Sir,—Enclosed you will find cheque for £5 in recognition of your valuable services rendered at the fire this morning. I feel sine if it had for the steamer and the way yburself and members worked half the town would have gone. Wishing your Brigade every success. I am, *c.—S. Charlton. Hastings, Jan. 19th, 1897. Sir,—l beg to hereby thank yourself and the members of the Hastings Fire Brigade for the splendid manner in which they worked in saving my property this morning.
