Sydney. Jan. 12. During the pa--a?e round from Melbourne a gallant feat was performed by a boat's tre w from the s.s. Orient. During a heavy gale the Sydney brig Phillis signalled that she was in want of food and the crew starving. A boat was immediately lowered from the Orient and provisioned, and after a great struggle with the mountainous seas reached the brig. They found that the crew had been without food for five days.
