A meeting of the Shipowners Association drafted certain proposals in view of arriving at a compromise and forwarded them to the Engineers' Association, who are now discussing them. Important developments are expected to take |.lae. to-night. The engineers have been called out of the Adelaide Company's Franklin and H'lddart-Parker's Anglian, which were to have sailed to-day.
