A SEVERE HURRICANE.

EXTENSIVE DAMAGE AT PORT DARWIN. (/'</■ /'/-.■•■< v As*"fi<i!i"H. < ) Adelaide, Jan. 7. During a hurricane which raged at Port Darwiu this morning early six inches of rain fell. Nearly every building in the township was wrecked, and the Eastern Extention Telegraph Company's station, which i- built of stone, and which also includes the Government telegraph office, was damaged. The overland telegraph lines are down, and communication has not yet been restored.
