THE CUBAN REVOLT.
THE ATTITUDE OF AMERICA NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY. (I'er Press Association.—L'o/n/ri^lit.) Madkid, Dec. 21. The Spanish Premier states that he does not regard the American Foreign Committee's resolution recognising the autonomy of Cuba as a i-asiis belli. He relies on the wisdom of President Cleveland and Mr Olney and the tenacity of the American Tory instinct to prevent them going too far. Spain, however, would not brook any attack on her sovereignty in Cuba, and was preparing for any event.
