Mr Fraser at Puketitiri.

A large number of persons, including several ladies, were present at the schoolhouse on Saturday evening to hear Mr Eraser's address. Mr A. Mclntyre (Chairman) introduced the speaker, who was loudly cheered ou rising. Mr Eraser forcibly dwelt on the progressive legislation of the Ballance and Seddon party, dealing at great length with the Lands for Settlement, Advances to Settlers, Rating, Valuation, Customs, &c. On concluding, Mr Fraser asked for no vote of confidence, but Mr Bradley proposed "That this meeting accord a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Fraser and coniidence in him as our future member." This was carried amidst cheers. During his visit to the district Mr Fraser visited a number of settlers who were unable to attend his meeting and was most favorably received by them.
