He is due to reach that citv by the SOth inst., and ljy accomplish i;sg the feat lie wins a wager of 2">,000 dollars. He had retched the south of Ireland and hooked his passage across the Atlantic, when his arrival became known to Sir illiam Hudson, (,'nnmander of the liehar Light llorse of India, who, spending his holiday at Shanklin, induced Mr Kendall to return and pa.-.s a few days with liim, a very warm friendship having arisen between the two gentlemen as the outcome of the traveller's experiences while walking through India. Mr lu-ndall had many narrow escapes and thrilling adventures. On three separate occasions obituary notices of him have been published. In one instance he was overtaken by about .30 armed thieves after leaving Quctta. and robbed and stripped of his coat and shirt.
