THIRD DAY'S RACES. [By Telegraph.] ( fijj Our Special Reporter.) Riccakton, This day. There is beautiful weather for the third day's races, and the attendance is good. The following are the results: — Spring Nursery. Blazer, 7st 91b ... ... 1 Sir Lanneclot. Bst 121b ... 2 Beauty Sleep, 7st 7lb ... 3 Bold, Senior "Wrangler, Vulcan, "Weary, Eidelweiss, Seashell, C'hainshot - Retina colt, and Maybud also started. Argon was scratched. Mr Piper let them off in a line, and a big race up the straight resulted in Blazer getting home by a length. Time 49 4-sth sees. l)iv., £9 16s. Oaks Stakes. Armilla ... ... ••• 1 Marlin 2 St. Ouida ... ... ... 3 Firefly, Diploma, Osmanie, and St. Florent also started. Dalliance was scratched. Won by three lengths after a splendid race. Time, 2min 43 l-sth sec. Div., £3 17s. Jockey Club Handicap. Dauntless, 7st 101b 1 Marquis of Zetland, 7st ... 2 The Shrew, Bst 21b ... ... 8 The Possible, Fabulist, St. Laura, Pom Tom, Mahaki, Culverin, Quiltiri andßellieent also started. Epaulet was scratched. The eleven horses jumped oft' with a good start. Fabulist was the first to show in front, with The Possible second. A tremendous race up the straight ensued. The Hastings colt shot up on the inside and cut down The Shrew and Marquis of Zetland. St. Laura coming fast was fourth. Time, lmin 42 l-ssec. Div., £6 lbs 6d. Canterbury Cup, 2{- miles. Lady Zetland, 9st ... ... 1 Euroelydon, 9st ... ... 2 Epaulet, 7st 6lb ... ... 3 Defiance was the only other starter. Won easily by a length. When the word was given Defiance and Euroelydon made the pace, with Lady Zetland in the rear passing the grandstand. Going down the back, Euroelydon increased the lead to a dozen length, while Epaulet moved up second and Defiance retired. At the six-furlong post the mare started to coins and caught the leader as the field rounded into the straight, and won easily, Defiance a furlong in the rear.
