The Greymouth Tragedy.

[By Telegraph.] [Special to Standard.] CiiEYMOUTu, This day. The tragedy at, Cobden has caused great excitement here, as Gilligham is very favorably known throughout the district as a most inoffensive man. He is one of the oldest residents in the town, having been there for over 28 years. He took a great interest in charitable works, and was local secretary of the hospital committee. He was brought up at the S.M.- Court yesterday and was remanded for eight days. Mrs (iilligham is not dangerously wounded, but fears are entertained for the recovery of Mrs Scalmar, who is now in the hospital.
