"\V. liussell, candidate for Eiccnrton, addressed a largely-attended meeting at Addington Last night. His speech dealt with the legislation past session. He spoke strongly in faVor of an Elective Executive, and said that if when Parliament next met the Ministry as at present constituted remained in office the Liberal Party would insist 011 the Cabinet representing the strength of the party. He advocated the " mending or ending of the Legislative Council. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried unanimous!v.
