STRAINED RELATIONS ARISE

SUPPOSED REVERSE REPORT TO ENGLAND.

London, Oct. 17. Strained relations exist with New York over the Venezuela dispute, and some uneasiness is felt in England. Sir Edward Clarke, speaking at York, said the decision of the Venezuelan Commission would certainly be adverse to England, and no honest arbitrator could come to any other decision upon the evidence. He advised an immediate settlement, to prevent any serious trouble with America.
