A LETTER FROM TIIE POPE
Lonpon, Oct. 15. Speaking at Glasgow. Mr Cur/on, Parliamentary Secretary to the Foreign Office, said the relations with Russia were cordial, and a confident hope was expressed that they would work on common lines in regard to the settlement of the Eastern question. Const ami Noiix, Oct. 15. The Sultan was very much angered oil receiving a letter from the Rope beseeching a cessation of atrocities.
