Ellensenian has hern introduced into the Derby betting and has been backed at twenties. This morning Hopscotch ran the best mile and a half yet done here, in •imins. llsecs., going well. Newhaven cantered well in moderate time. Reka put in a fast mile and a quarter, and Tire a sound mile and a half. Excel traversed a mile and a half in 2inin lOsec. Skipper defeated Armenia over eleven furlongs. Le Yar ran a mile and a quarter nicely. Homespun, Camoona, and Bloodshot did eleven furlongs strongly.
