[From Our Own Correspondent.] Napier, October 3. The Garrison Band drew a big crowd to dive-square last evening, when a first-class programme of music was given to the public gratis. Napier generally appreciates greatly anything she can get for nothing ; but I suppose the same thing applies to your town. The boating season opens this afternoon with the usual display. The Napier and Union Clubs join in making the affair as showy as possible. The ladies are expected to turn out in numbers. The clubs will entertain their friends at afternoon tea*/'" The Camera Club's exhiSTtwß" ig drawing better than did the celebrated Musin ; but then you see it is run on different lines. Oae or two gentlemen are stated to have been heavily struck by the Musin " frost." An Indian hawker appeared before two local Justices yesterday to answer a charge of having dutiable goods in his possession. Of course he didn't know he was breaking the law, but the Bench asked him to contribute £25 to the revenue and pay costs. Seventyfour silk handkerchiefs and about the same number of cotton ditto were confiscated,
