THE TUNIS QUESTION.
RECIPROCITY RET WEEN THE POWERS. London, Sept. 00. Austria has virtually agn ed to recognise Tunis as French territory, and in return France accepts the AustroItalian commercial treaty. England, however, claims most favored nation treatment, and so far as she is concerned the Tunis question remains unsettled. Rome, Oct. 1. Italy surrenders her capitulations in Tunis, and in exchange receives tariff advantages over the other Powers.
