The Bulli miners have resumed work, a compromise having been arrived at. This day. A relay bicycle race between Sydney and Melbourne was completed in 21 hours 86 minutes. Melbourne, This day. The steamer Bogong has broken up. All hope of the safety of the five missing men has been abandoned. Perth, This day. A resolution has been carried in the Assembly in favor of legislation to stop the alarming influx of Chinese and other Asiatics. The Ministerial proposals are to restrict the importation of colored labor into the northern districts and prevent men coming south. Brisbane, Sept. 24. Obituary—Percy MaeDonnell, the well-known cricketer. This day. Greene, of the Eriglish Rifle Club, won the Queen's prize ; Corporal Bradley second. The latter won the Championship match. Clark's Sugar Mill at Woongarra was burned. The damage is estimated at £SOOO. It is supposed that the fire was the result of incendarism.
