TRAFFICKING IN STAMPS.

TOSTAL OFFICIALS SUSPENDED Melbourne, This day. The Age states that a grave scandal has been discovered in connection with the Postal Department. It seems that certain stamps were withdrawn from use' some time ago, and as a consequence those remaining in existence rose to a premium, and in some instances doubled in value. Subsequently the sheets became very numerous, and the sheets were sold at a much lower rate. It was then discovered that certain officials of the Department had been traflicking in these stamps. An inquiry is now proceeding, and two of the officers have been suspended in the meantime.
