The Banking Inquiry.

NOT A HAPPY FAMILY

[By Telegraph.]

[Special to Standard.]

Wellington, this day

That the Board of Directors and the executive officers of the Bank cf New Zealand are not a happy family was made plainly manifest by the evidence given before the Banking Committee by Mr Booth to-day. In his opinion certain officials who formerly were in the employ of the Colonial Bank ought not to be continued a day longer in the service of the Bank of New Zealand. Mr Booth further stated that an advance of £20,000 made fco Mr Watson was brought before the attention of the bank directors, and that when the matter was minuted no dissent was raised on the part of any of the directors.
