In the House of Commons Mr Chamberlain, in reply to a question by Mr Hogan as to whether he would during the recess reconsider his refusal of Queensland's request for the separation of Central Queensland, said immediate separation was not desirable ; therefore the further inquiry which had been suggested was not required.
