THE AUSTRALIANS AT HOME.

AGAINST ALL ENGLAND. THE BAD WICKET PREVENTS HEAVY SCORING. FAIRLY EVEN SCORING.. London, Augfefcll. The weather was perfect when the third and last test match was resumed to-day, and the sun was shining brilliantly. The attendance was enormous, the ground being crammed. The wicket was still soft, and as it dried under the influence of the sun the bowlers had all the best of the game. The first innings of the Englishmen was rapidly finished off for 145. Iredale and Darling made a good start for the Australians while the pitch was still under the influence of the roller, but when this wore off the batsmen were quite unable to stand up to the bowling of the Englishmen.
